Pooch is fast asleep so managed to weave in the ends on madeline I’m really pleased with the finished shawl, particularly as my bargain loving heart knows that the drops Alaska was only £1.60 per ball (from treacle wool shop in morpeth) and I got the pattern book for £8 less than the ticket price. So back to elphaba – I’m on the sleeves now – I know that I’m behind already and really I should have finished that at the end of April but that’s the price I pay for being distra
I’m using fab little circular needles for the sleeves instead of double pointers. Personally I find the dps a bit of a fiddle and the small circs much better. The ones I’m using are addi sock needles (30 cm) which I find comfy to use.
I don’t know about you I am beginning to develop a preferences for certain needles. Don’t get me wrong – the knitting obsession means that any type of needles will do but that said I love the Knitpro Symfonie wooden needles. I suspect it’s not just the comfortable but they look lovely and I find the sound they make as I knit soothing. Probably that sounds strange, but knitting is such an all round sensory pleasure!
What’s your favourite thing about knitting, I wonder? The satisfaction of the challenge to get to the end product, the tacile squishy gorgeousness of the yarn or the mental zen that knitting brings? I know that I left loads out so what do you think
